I really enjoyed my time at Coconut Cay Resort. The room was clean and spacious, perfect for relaxing after a long day. The view of the canal from my room was stunning. I loved taking out the free kayaks available for guests. it was a great way to explore the water and spot some wildlife. The pool area felt like a tropical paradise, especially with the colorful decor surrounding it. Breakfast came in a convenient take-away bag, although I found the options a little limited. I expected a bit more variety. On the downside, I had some issues with the locks on my room door. I felt uneasy when I first checked in because the door didn’t close properly. Also, the highway noise at night disrupted my sleep a bit, even with earplugs. It would be nice if they added more soundproofing to the rooms. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, just a few tweaks needed for comfort.

Man, we had some fun vibes! The room was clean and cozy, perfect for us as a family with kids who borrowed boats and biked around—ice cream stops were a highlight! The outdoor dining area was sweet, making meals feel like a lil’ party under the sun.
But hold up, we hit some bumps! The room wasn't updated and had a funky smell when we walked in. Plus, the toilet was a bit of a diva, and those pesky ants were a party crasher. Still, the fun times shined through.

missingWrote a review on 24 Octcanal viewscozy balconyupdated roomroad noise
The room boasted a surprising, recently updated feel with a cozy balcony area perfect for enjoying a drink and taking in the serene canal views. A decent pool area sits just steps away, adding a nice touch for family hangouts when not exploring the watery environment.
Proximity to a busy road turned out to be a little disruptive, as road noise crept in, making it hard to catch Zs. Shower pressure felt like a trickle, testing one's patience while trying to rinse off. Some areas appeared slightly shabby, with decor needing a refresh, which was a disappointment given the price point. The breakfast offerings leaned more toward convenience than quality, with microwaveable items lacking a home-cooked vibe.

The stay was enjoyable overall, with a clean and well-maintained room that offered great water pressure in the shower. We took advantage of the kayaks and bicycles, which added a lot to our experience. However, the life jacket provided for kayaking was not in acceptable condition, which should have been addressed. The location near the canal was lovely, making it a perfect setup for boaters. I'd consider returning, but hope for improvements in gear quality.

Oh boy, those nearby eateries had us feasting! Grabbed some late-night snacks at KFC and chowed down at IHOP Marathon for a solid breakfast. Plus, the outdoor dining area vibes were on-point, perfect for those sunset views! Pro tip, the free kayaks were a blast for exploring the canal! Our Deluxe Double Room was cozy and clean, too. Can't beat that!
But here’s the kicker, we were stuck with two different nonsmoking rooms that smelled like a combo of cigarettes and mildew. The beds? A disaster area—felt like sinking into a sunken valley! And the hot water could be slippery at best.

Perfect for a laid back couple getaway
Room was clean and we had a lovely patio overlooking the canal it was peaceful every morning. Also rode bikes to the beach and back the diner across the street had some incredible breakfast.
It wasn't cheap but honestly it was still acceptable for the experience we had.
